Arp/Beats Menu

The Arp/Beats button lets you access the Arp/Beat menu. This menu

contains several different sections.

The Mix screens show you the volume and pan levels for all 32 MIDI

channels at once.

SuperBEATS Mode is a whole new way to create dynamic, original music.

BTS riffs are special multi-part Audition Riffs are permanently stored in

sound ROM. With SuperBEATS, you trigger, latch and unlatch synced loops

and grooves from your keyboard. Any preset can be selected and used by

assigning a BTS riff (or KIT riff) in the Preset Edit menu.

Vintage Pro can also run up to 16 simultaneously synced arpeggiators, each

with a different preset sound. The arpeggiators can either play one of 7

chord arpeggios or can be set to play a pattern, which is a stored sequence

of notes.

All arpeggiators share Vintage Pro’s master clock and its current setting. The

master clock can be Vintage Pro’s internal clock or an external MIDI clock

(page 33). Although the arpeggiators use the master clock setting, the

tempo divisor can be unique for each arpeggiator setup.

Arpeggiator modes include up, up/down, forward assign, backward assign,

forward/backward assign and random as well as play Patterns. Patterns are

pre-recorded sequences of notes and rests. All key-on notes play the

pattern. For example, if you play a chord, all the notes in the chord play the

pattern in harmony. Vintage Pro contains 300 factory patterns and 100 user

deﬁnable patterns. Combined with SuperBeats, the sheer number of

musical permutations is staggering!
